Dr. Landrigan is the Director of the Children's Environmental Health Center and the Ethel Wise Professor and Chair of the Department of Preventive Medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. He also serves there as the Dean for Global Health. He is author of Raising Children Toxic Free: How to Keep Your Child Safe From Lead, Asbestos, Pesticides and Other Environmental Hazards. Dr. Landrigan served from 1996 to 2005 in the Medical Corps of the United States Naval Reserve, retiring in 2005 at the rank of Captain. He has received over 30 awards during his career, including the National Defense Service Medal in 2003. Dr. Landrigan is a husband, father, grandfather, and a devout Catholic.
