  • Creation Care Podcast, a Conversation with Fred Van Dyke

    March 07,2012, 11:19 AM

Listen in this week as I talk with Dr. Fred Van Dyke recently named Executive Director of the Au Sable Institute and Richard Gasaway author of An Inconvenient Purpose. On the first part of the show we'll be exploring the theological basis for creation care through one of Dr. Van Dyke's recent works Between Heaven and Earth, Christian Prospectives on Environmental Stewardship. We'll hear why Dr. Van Dyke wrote the book and explore some of the rich content of this excellent resource.

In the second half of our show I talk with Richard Gasaway author of An Inconvenient Purpose: Linking Godly Stewardship and Alternative Energy. We'll talk about some of the current challenges facing God's creation and how Christians ought to explore some of the energy challenges.

Richard Gasaway is a professional electrical engineer who has more than 18 years of experience in electrical power plant design.

Rick earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) in 1990 from the University of Missouri-Rolla. Married with one son, Rick loves to snow ski and watch St. Louis Cardinals baseball. Every year since he was 12, Rick had made Christmas ornaments out of bread dough, and says they are "marvelous conversation starters." Rick and Danielle Bounds, Miss Earth, USA, clean up the land around Indian Creek, Overland Park, KS. Rick may be contacted at rick@aninconvenientpurpose.com

    Be sure to listen in!
