Responding to Harvey

‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ – Matthew 25:40 (NIV)

A healthy creation and life go hand-in-hand, and we see that unfolding before our eyes in the tragedy caused by Hurricane Harvey this week in Texas.  The magnitude of this disaster goes beyond our comprehension, and it is impacting millions of God’s children.

This is a time to pray and act in Christian love as followers of Jesus Christ.  People are hurting, dying and in need of our help. So, as you consider your response, we encourage you to connect with National Association of Evangelicals members and others with the expertise to offer aid and love. Just a few of the outstanding Christians agencies include:

World Hope International

Salvation Army

Convoy of Hope

Harvey’s continuing threats to life and health should be our concern as we react as Jesus’ Church and in His greatest command, “To love one another.”
